Mumbai, Dec 25:
St Michael's Church, Manickpur served by the Jesuit priests, is one of the oldest churches of Vasai in the city. It was established in the year 1606. Though the original parishioners were east Indians, due to a spate of recent migrations, Konkani speaking people dominate  this parish.

Christmas services in this church started yesterday night at 11 pm, with the singing of Christmas carols inside the church. After the carols were sung, solemn mass followed. Parish priest Fr John Froz was the main celebrant of the mass.
