Governor Jamir Conveys Christmas Greetings

Mumbai, Dec 27:
Governor S C Jamir greeted the people of Maharashtra on the occasion of Christmas.

In his message, Jamir said that Christmas is a time for celebration, for carols, exchanging gifts, and for spending quality time with family and friends. “But more than all these, it will be most appropriate this Yuletide if we pause for a moment, ponder on the developments around us and consider seriously how we can translate this spirit of Christmas into practice. The Angels heralded the birth of Christ by proclaiming ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill towards men.’  Should not we also give glory to the Almighty and at the same time usher in an era of peace and goodwill towards fellow beings? The world today is beset with violence and hatred, and indeed, it is a challenge to spread the words of love, peace, and goodwill. But no challenge is too big if we have God on our side. Let us therefore, prepare ourselves to let the Prince of Peace take over our hearts, guide our thoughts and actions, and strive together to let the people walking in darkness see the Light.

May this Christmas season bring peace to the world, spread goodwill among men, which together will give glory to God in the highest”, said the message from the governor.
