Mangalore: By-polls—Jubilant Celebrations at Local BJP Office

Mangalore, Dec 30: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activists celebrated the stunning victory of the party in the state by-elections, by bursting crackers and distributing sweets in front of the BJP office here on Tuesday December 30.
As many as 150 members of the Yuva Morcha, Bajrang Dal, and Mahila Morcha, took part in the jubilation around 11 am. Mayor Ganesh Hosabettu and other BJP corporators were also present.
Speaking to Daijiworld.com, MLA Yogish Baht said people had given the go-ahead to the ruling party to remain in power for the full five-year term. The outcome is an indication of the trend in the forthcoming parliamentary elections in the country, he said. Replying to the people’s decision on the Congress party, he said, “It is really shocking”.
