Good message. Peace, Love, Unity should be taught right from school days. I am happy Smt.Kavita Karkare has plans to start an NGO, which will teach secularism way of living at an early age of a child.

Thanks Daijiworld for the wonderful news coverage.  Students are the future of this nation and making them understand about the terrorism and communalism is a good step taken by the administration of St. Aloysisus College. I think it is time for all religious heads of undivided South Kanara district to organize a rally and promote peace , harmony & understanding between all religions, have inter faith dialogues which will help understand other religions & faiths.

As an ex-Aloysian I am proud of this concerted stance taken by my Alma Mater. And yes, I agree with Mr. Baliga that the NCC or similar training is good for all the students.

HEARTY CONGRATULATION TO THE ORGANISERS AND TO EACH AND EVERYONE OF THE STUDENTS OF MY ALMA MATER WHO TOOK PART IN THE PLEDGE TO SUPPORT TO THE UNITED FIGHT AGAINST TERRORISM. I bet if there was any member of Kasab & Co in Mangalore, just by seeing this display of unity of the Aloysian children would have ped his AK47 and fled away back to where he came from.

Perhaps, I felt, if all other schools and Colleges in Mangalore too joined the Aloysians, the impact would have been much greater. The sight of the beautiful and dignified Students in front of my Alma Mater and the pretty smiles of most of the students, especially the young ladies in their colourful costumes would have melted the stony – hearts of even the most hardened criminals of LeT, Jaish, Dawood & Co and even Lodan & Co. Thanks to Daijiworld for the impressive photographs and I really felt nostalgic to see the roof of the primary school and the high school where I studied till my school final in 1966 and later completed my college in 1970 (together with the likes of Allen Pereira, Dr.Henric Lobo, the late Dr.Patrick Pinto, Joesph Menezes, Alfie D’Souza, Richard Crasta, Kevin Colaco, Fr.Eugene Lobo and Fr.Denzil Lobo and not to forget the man with the golden gun – Martin Coelho the James Bond.) “Buvanava Salahuva Karuna-nidhi Devane Balan Ka-ayo…” the words of my school anthem came spontaneously from my mouth...

     Thank You Daijiworld……!!!

Excellent concept to gather as many students to combat the "anti-terrorist" movement in Mangalore. Students can play an important role in the daily life of our society. Students also have a strong voice in the household as well as in the neighbourhood of our community today. The seeds of positive thinking that we cultivate in the minds of students today will produce last lasting influence in the young minds who will turn out to be the strong pillars of tomorrow.
