Mumbai, Jan 6: Model-turned-actor Deepika Padukone, who turns 23 on Monday, visited the Siddhivinayak temple in central Mumbai to offer prayers on the occasion.
The actress was accompanied by her parents, legendary badminton champion Prakash and mother Ujjwala.
She is currently busy promoting her upcoming film 'Chandni Chowk to China', co-starring Akshay Kumar, that releases on January 16.
Deepika, who plays a double role in the film, will be seen in an action-oriented role for the first time. After being involved in some dare-devil scenes, the actress had labeled herself as the "female Akshay Kumar" of bollywood.
Significantly, beau Ranbir Kapoor did not accompany her at the temple. He is busy shooting with Katrina Kaif in Mumbai for Rajkumar Santoshi's 'Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani'.
Ranbir and Katrina are also being paired opposite each other in Prakash Jha's 'Rajniti' which goes on floors shortly.
Deepika's last film with Ranbir was 'Bachna Aae Haseeno' which did moderate business at the box office.
