Moodbidri, Jan 10: The number of audiences at the ongoing Alva's Virasat here, has been increasing day by day since the last few days. On the evening of Friday January 9, they delightfully savoured the concert of Vidhwan Srinivas and Ustad Shahid Parvej on mandolin and sitar respectively.

The concert of both eminent musicians indeed mesmerized the audiences with their expert handling of musical instruments and creating melodious music on Friday evening.  Pandit Ravindra Yarvagal and Vidhwan Muruga Bhoopati did the playback singing.

Bhopal Anuradha Singh musical troupe that had made news during the Bhopal gas tragedy staged a group Kathak dance which truly conveyed the emotions pouring from the depths of the hearts of the performers.  It taught the viewers on how to rise above the tragedies and man-made calamities.  Group Kathak dance indeed was an attempt to explore the new possibilities of Kathak in conveying the message to the mass audience.
 
Grammy award winner Pandit Vishwamohan Bhat, well known for his  Mohan Veena performances  and internationally renowned Gazal singer A Hariharan together will stage a Jugalbandi concert on Saturday January 10, at Alva's Virasat here.  New Delhi Padmashree Ranjan Gowdar troupe will also stage odyssey dance performance  at the Virasat venue.
 
The number of audiences eager to lap up every bit of the cultural extravaganza,  is expected swell further  at the Alvas Virasat,  set in pristine Shobhavana, here on the weekend.
