Media Release

Dubai, Jan 11: Keeping in line with their commitment and policy, the official representative of Billawa community in Dubai, Billawa Balaga Dubai formed a new committee for 2009. The committee members unanimously voted for three important amendments to their well drafted bye law. Under advice and guidance from senior Billawa social worker DK Anchan from Mumbai, it was decided that only three members from the existing executive committee would retire against the earlier law of retirement of all five executive committee members every year. This was to ensure that the new executive committee has the support and thought process guidance from preceding committee as well.

Co- founder Daya Kirodian made the opening remark that the leadership is open to all and the only criteria to be a leader is to have leadership quality and integrity. He said that the leadership in Balaga is not measured with financial status of a person but with the historical record of integrity.
