Mangalore: 'Nagamandala Punyotsava' at  Attavar Marnamikatta

Mangalore, Jan 13: On the night of Saturday January 10, 'Nagamandala Punyotsava' programme was performed in a grand manner at the Shanta Alva Compound of Attavar Marnamikatta in the city.

Since 5.30 am, religious rituals like Rigveda Samhita Parayana, Chandika Homa, Sri Nagabrahma, Rakteshwari, Ashottara Shatakumbhabhisheka, Suhasini, Kannika Pooje, Mahapooje, Nagadarshana, etc., were performed. In the afternoon, about a lac devotees took part in the community feast.




















Under the leadership of Chakrapani Sri Gopalakrishna Bhat and guidance of vedic scholar Brahamasri Vedamurthy Anadala Jagadish Bhat, various cultural and religious festivities were conducted. Brahmasri Vedamurthy A Subrahmanya Madhyasta from Sasthana performed the 'Nartana Seve'. Nalkur Muddur Krishnaprasad Vaidya and team performed the 'Damaru Seve'.

'Prasadam' was distributed on the morning of Sunday January 11.

Ambalpady Sri Janardana and Mahakali Temple Udupi trustee Ni Bi Vijaya Ballal, who inaugurated the religious meeting organized on the occasion, said that the youth  from th coast continue to follow Indian culture, although there is an outcry everywhere that the youngsters have been getting attracted to western culture. He also advised people not to be afraid of God but nurture devotion, respect and love for Him.





















SL Shet Jewellers Managing partner Raghunat Shet presided.  Kodyadka temple founder trustee Jayaram Hegde, Nitte University vice chancellor N Vinay Hegde, MP D V Sadanand Gowda, MLA N Yogish Bhat, Coastal Development Authority chairman B Nagaraj Shetty etc., were present.
