Mumbai, Jan 12: The annual day celebrations cum scholarship distribution programme  of Kannada Sangh Santacruz was held on Saturday January 10 evening, at Billava Bhavan Sri Narayana Guru auditorium, Santacruz (East) here.

All India Billava Association president Jaya C Suvarna inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp while Kannada Sangh Santacruz president L V Amin presided over. Bharat Co-Operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited chairman V R Kotian was the chief guest of the occasion. 


 

Mulund Bunts president N Vivek Shetty, Bharat Bank deputy chairman and public prosecutor Rohini J Salian, Virar – Nallasopara Karnataka Sangh president Virar Shankar B Shetty and  Janata Education Society managing director Rajesh Kotian were the guests of honour present on  the occasion.

Karnataka Rajyotsav award recipient Vijaykumar Shetty was felicitated by Jaya C Suvarna at the venue..  Scholarships to talented children of members of Karnataka Sangh Santacruz were also distributed.

'Toota Tudar', Tulu play was staged by Kalajagattu troupe, directed by Karnataka Rajyotsav award winner Vijay Kumar Shetty, as part of the cultural programmes, followed by  variety events by the children of Sangh members.

Sangh vice president B R Poonja, honorary chief secretary B D Suvarna, honorary treasurer Chandrahas J Kotian, social and cultural committee president Nityanand D Kotian, honorary secretary Sujata R Shetty, Prema Kotian, Ravindra Amin and others were present at the dais.
