Kasargod: Four from Kannur who left to join ISIS die

Daijiworld Media Network - Kasargod (SP)

Kasargod, Jan 31: The state police have confirmed that four persons from Kannur who had left for Syria with the aim of joining terrorist organization, ISIS, have since died. They were from among a group of ten persons belonging to two families including women and children, who had travelled to Syria last year.

These four persons were killed during the police encounter, it is said.

As per sources, two women, their husbands, and six children (three each from these two families), had joined ISIS. Popular Front of India activist, T V Shamir, and his wife were the first to join the organization. Thereafter, the family of Anwar followed suit. Anwar and his family had left Kannur in the guise of touring Bengaluru on November 19, 2018. But they have not come back. After their relatives filed police complaint, during investigation, it was found that they had travelled to Syria via Iran.

The police believe that Anwar, Shamir, and their two sons, Safwan and Salman, were the ones who died in this incident. However, there is no information about the current status of the other surviving members of these two families.

As per the information obtained by Kannur district police, so far 35 from the district have joined ISIS. During the last one year, 15 from Kerala have died in the battle with Syrian army, it is said.

When the news is true,I dont feel much sad for them, but for their family parents. They knew what it is and consequenses.Still they went ,pulled their children into it,women,.Children were innocents, could have stay back.It is like murdering their own children and women.Only can say Heartfelt sympathy to their parents. They lost their children.People simply dont know exactly the scheme how it functions, still proceed to kill others and get killed last self. One who direct them to join is real murderer,He will not get any Heaven by such acts.

The first reason to do evil things is hunger. Second unemployment. Then it goes to jealousy, hatred, sickness, wrong teaching, and finally, we are lack of true love.

Only love and forgiveness will stop all type of evils and terrorism.

Absolutely false, hunger, unemployment has got nothing to do with this. I have seen rich people, who are well off doctors and engineers involved in ISIS. There must be something seriously wrong in their special schools.....only China currently in the world could control these religious fanatics. The only reason i admire Chinese is the way they control these guys.

Fayez why are you telling wrong things? We all know what is stated in the book, by doing what to a kafir one gets what? No religion other than this openly says to eliminate other religious followers. Speak the truth.

    Hello Sanjay,

There is no where in Quran says to hate any religion. And kafir means not enemies of Islam. Kafir is those who do not believe in Islam like the disbelievers. So please do not write whatever comes in your mind. Islam teaches peace and we all are peace loving people like the rest of the world.

    Peace :)

look at the silence of intellectuals, writers, secular parties who make every non issue an issue. above is very dangerous trend,if 100 people so radicalised who go with familiy to fight, kill a sect & die in a foreign country, then thousand may be in sleeper cells motivating to fight a sect, dividing families, society, nation.but no one bothered. only behind cow protector, rss.

    SK,

yes ther eare lot of criminal activities happening in and around india and other parts of the world. But ISIS is creating a big mess compared to others.. Here no one are blaming a good muslim... all are just criticizing those brainwashed people who try to join ISIS.. so dont simply comment without thinking. Its like these comments are directly targeted to you... Why dont you accept the reality that ISIS is simply spreading hatred in the name of religion spreading. What is the use.... at lat everyone die and no next generation will remember anyone who fought for religion... terrorism should be taken away from this world from root. Instead os simply commenting just try to brainwash good number of people who are talking nonsens in the name of religion... For each and every person his religious is great... and if its great it does not mean that you have to spread it or kill someone for it....
