Udupi, Jan 20:
  ‘Chappara Muhurat’ was held with gaiety at the renovated Yellur Sri Vishwanath temple, near here, on Monday January 19 in preparation for the Brahmakalashotsav that will be held from Wednesday March 4 to Thursday March 12. It was attended by thousands of devotees from surrounding areas. 
 
Various Vedic rituals were performed by chief priest Laxminarayan Tantri assisted by Kenja Sridar Tantri and Bettige Gururaj Tantri on the occasion.
 

 

Temple renovation committee president Y Prafulla Shetty, Nadimane B Mohan Rao, chief secretary Kutyar Prasad Shetty, vice-president Arunakar Shetty Kalattoor, Yashwant Shetty Yellur, and Deviprasad Shetty Belapu were among those present.
 
Earlier, ‘Gana Yaga’ and offerings of coconuts from every family of the neighbouring villages were offered ahead of Chappara Muhurat.
 
Over 10,000 devotees from Yellur, Kunjoor, Belapu, Kuthyar, Santoor, Pilar, Adve – Nandikoor, and Kalattur, attended the event.

    Good Work guys, thanks for keeping us on this occasion, would appreciate if you can arrange something like live of pics during Brahmakalasha like the Mundkur guys did lasttime for the same event in there. Its an idea, depends upong the feasibility.
