While I congratulate this lady, I think there is a huge task ahead. Corporation bank is having worst services among the nationalised banks. Lethargic work force, non-cooperative staff, most user unfriendly website for net banking, unreasonable method of deducting charges for various services etc. are some of the examples. Just for illustration, the bank shows a deduction of Recurring Deposit installment 3 days before actual due date saying that it is already deducted on due date. Cheque deposits are not updated for 4 days. Annual card fee is deducted from account 1 month in advance. Person who wants to close the account before 31st December has to pay the card fee for next calender year because of this non-sense. No staff in the bank knows how to overcome such problems. There is no provision for sending cheque book by courier. Customer is fooled saying free credit card, free locker is provided if there is some minimum balance. After one year, quietly the charges are levied. Soon this bank will also be facing the same situation as Vijaya Bank.

Mr. Anil Kumar, Mangalore: The banks have to send the cheque book either by Speed Post or by Registered Post A/D only and not by Courier Services as the Courier Services are found to be most unreliable. I had very bad experience with them. The Bank of India, Mangalore branch had send my document by Courier some years ago and they did not deliver it saying addressee not found. But the Postal Registered A/D and Speed Post article are deliver at my door steps. Even the Court Notices are sent y Registered Post only. The COURIERS ARE MOST UNRELIABLE, PATHETIC AND THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE EVEN THE MANGALORE CITY BUSES STOP IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE GATE. I have never lost any mail sent by Post as of now. JAI HIND.
