Udupi, Feb 4: Priyanka Mary Francis, deputy commissioner of Udupi has been transferred with immediate effect and posted as director, department of Tourism, Bengaluru.

Hephsiba Rani Korlapati has been appointed as the deputy commissioner of Udupi. She was previously serving as the managing director, Special Purpose Vehicle(SPV), Hubballi-Dharwad.

Priyanka Mary Francis

Hephsiba is from Basavakalyan in Bidar district but hails from Vijaywada, Andhra Pradesh. She is an IAS officer of the 2011 batch.

She secured the 20th rank in IAS. She has served as assistant commissioner of Basavakalyana sub-division in Bidar district.

Hephsiba did her BA from Osmania University, Hyderabad and MA in Geography from Delhi School of Economics.

    Udupi had a great DC in Ms.Priyanka Francis, she was honest, forthright and fearless.
    She gave a good governance to Udupi and helped implementing many people friendly projects.

    I was told some groups of people tried to give her gifts/bribes which she out rightly rejected
    being honest and straightforward she was a great example for young women seeking top jobs at govt administration.

    I wish Ms.Priyanka all the very best and lets see how sand mafia will treat new DC.
    People must support good administrative people like Ms.Priyanka,

    Transfer order from State Govt. Why are you blaming BJP MPs for this. Ask your uncertain coalition govt. She was transferred by your corrupt state govt under pressure from Sand Mafia.

    Priyanka Madam was very efficient and honest. But I heard even Hephsiba Rani also having similar track record, she was earlier transferred from Mangalore in 2015 for being very strict. Hope she will continue the same in Udupi.

    Hepshibha is one of the most upright, defiant IAS officer one could ever see. She sticks to the rules, and will not back down even when faced with extreme pressure.
    All dhongis will have a tough time dealing with her. That's why, she gets transferred wherever she goes.

    Now Udupi will be turned into another Bellary by BJP waiting for loot through sand mining.
    Unfortunately, the honest and tough officer Priyanka Mary Francis has to go.
