The boy was called to the police station and he agreed to marry the woman. The police asked the woman to bring her relatives to the police station. However, during the counselling session, the man again changed his mind and requested for more time to think before marriage.

The woman, who was disappointed, went to use the washroom inside City Police commissioner’s office. Her sister who accompanied her was shocked to see the pregnant woman had slashed her wrists with a blade inside the washroom. As she raised an alarm, the woman was rushed to Bowring hospital for treatment. It is said that she is out of danger.

If the boy is not keen to marry then what can anyone do? can you force anyone to marry?

Pregnent lady first of all should have taken care before ,as she begann the intimate friendship. She could atleast first make sure that he loves her and ready to marry her. let parents know about their friendship and their intention.when not ready to marry ,let him go .but not intimate. Now he is not ready to marry in front of police ,then why harm herself and let the unborn baby in danger?

It is too late now.let her kickout the man and bring the baby to world.Somehow you can raise the baby .or give it to adapt.so many people want to adapt a baby. She should now know he is not meant for a family life but only for lust.so let him go.you may find some other good man.

I really feel sad for this woman and I appreciate this woman's genuine love. Her boyfriend wants her to satisfy him but do not want to marry her. He will reap what he sows. Not good to cheat anyone who loves u genuinely.

...oh you call this genuine love? a act of sin, cheat, crime for pleasure may be possible ignorantly.
Root cause is our sick insane man made rules of society! where all happens in dark is accepted but not openly,.... why women has to face shame and not man?

The very meaning of Love is being commercialized and spoiled like dirty politicians sc....d up religion in India.

He should have taken or requested some more time to think before getting into intimate relationship with the girl as he is requesting now to give him more time to think before marrying her.

    Dear Jennifer

All are not smart like you, leave her alone.

When you say others do not have brains means you are boasting yourself. Better not to comment on personal issues so harshly, learn to give advice mildly, she has already lost hope and on the verge of ending life, your contraceptive does not work now.

    Rajesh,

If contraception alone is smartness, all those working women who limit to just affordable number of child/ren, are certainly smart. But you bet - they are not fools to live like a couple first and then plead for marriage when there is no other way out left. Yes, its their personal life but when she attempts suicide, the 'personal' nature sheds and legal & public mode applies.

However, she is proved a fool and the man smart by refusing her plea in tnis case.

    Rashmi Salian,

There is a way to avoid pregnancy even without using contraception. Needn't depend on manufacturers and hold tbem responsible for failures. Only that we have to be a bit more cautious of consequences of living-in before marriage.
