Udupi: Russian Couple Have Traditional Indian Wedding

Udupi, Jan 23: A Russian couple solemnized their marriage as per Hindu tradition at Pilarukana Sri Mahalingeshwar temple, near Belman here, on Friday January 23.
Moscow-based 29- year-old fitness centre employee Irin and 35-year-old vice-president of a political party, Trescheu Kowstantin, were married by temple priest Shreesha Acharya, in the presence of their friends and relatives.
Both Irin and Trescheu had come to Dr Raviraj Bhandary’s Kashyapa Ayurveda Yoga and Panchakarma Centre, a year ago. Dr Raviraj Bhandary and family arranged for their traditional Indian wedding. The couple took up the Indian names of Vrandadevi and Keshidamandas.
Kaup block BJP president Ravindra Shetty, local leaders Shankar Kundar and Dinesh, and several media persons were present on the occasion.
Temple priests Srinivas Bhat and Arun assisted the chief priest during the ceremony.
Vrandadevi and Keshidamanadas, speaking to media persons, said that their counterparts in Russia had acknowledged the benefits of Panchakarma and Indian culture.
