Cricketer Dayanand Bangera Appointed Coach at Abu Dhabi Cricket Academy

Abu Dhabi – Jan 28: Prolific Cricketer and former Ranji Player based in Abu Dhabi, has been appointed as one of the Coaches at Abu Dhabi’s prestigious Cricket Academy recently.
Dayanand, a Mangalorean Born in Katapady of Udupi District had his primary education at Katapady and was a student of Poornaprajna College Udupi. He has a illustrious career in the game of cricket. He started his initial cricket journey playing at college level, followed by participating in Mangalore & Udupi league matches. He represented Mangalore University and played in Zonal tournaments.
After his graduation, he joined Corporation Bank, Mangalore and shifted to Goa in the year 1986, where he excelled himself as a regular member of Goa Ranji Cricket Team and made his debut in 1986 as a batsman showing versatility scoring runs freely for his team.
He also represented Hyderabad Blues touring Australia and New Zealand under M. L. Jaisimha (former Indian Captain)as team Manager and was successful in scoring runs on foreign soil.
This Wicket Keeper Batsman, after his arrival in the UAE, represented NMC Group for nearly seven years, thus establishing himself as a formidable cricketer. While he was playing in the UAE, he represented the host country – UAE, in the Asia Cup qualifying matches and was chosen as one of the member of 1996 World Cup Squad.
Dayanand says that his intention is to help youngsters to train and transform themselves into budding cricketers of the future. He took up his new assignment on January 22nd at the Academy.
