Sharjah : Novi Almeida New President of Karnataka Sangha

Sharjah, Jan 29: Karnataka Sangha Sharjah, committee members have selected its new office bearers for the year 2009 recently at Quick Bite Restaurant, Sharjah.
 
The immediate past President of the Sangha, Prabhakar Ambalethere has conducted the proceedings of the selection of new office bearers.

Noel D’ Almeda was unanimously elected as new President of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah, Mohd Shahad was selected as Vice President, Nithyananda as General Secretary, Shashikanth Kanangi as Treasurer, Vishwanath Shetty as Entertainment Secretary and Raju Bhandary as Sports Secretary have been selected, followed by Ramanada Belapu as Asst. Secretary, Dinesh BM as Asst. Entertainment Secretary and Ananda Bailur as Asst. Treasurer, Jeevan Kuckian as Asst. Sports Secretary and Sujay Bendore was selected as Media Co-ordinator for the Sangha.
 
Prabhakar Ambalthere has conveyed his gratitude towards all the committee members for extending their co-operation during his tenure as President of Sangha and he assured his all kinds of services to the sangha in future also.

The patron of the Sangha Mark Dennis D’Souza has given his kind advice to the new office bearers and assured his support to the Sangha for its service oriented events in future also.
 
The newly selected president Noel D’ Almeda has extended his thanks to all the office bearers for selecting him for the post and he assured his best services to the Sangha during his tenure

    We wholeheartedly welcome the ion of Novi Almeida to lead the Karnataka Sangha, Sharjah. Hitherto, he had been a sincere and dedicated member, most of the times delivering his services from behind the screen. Today, we are happy to find him on the center stage. Besides Karnataka Sangha, his contribution and involvement in other associations within U.A.E. has been phenomenal. He is being seen wherever someone gathers in the name of art, culture and theatre. People, their religion or their language doesn’t bother him. All the members of Daiji Dubai, in general, and Daiji Rang Mandir, in particular (of which he is one of the office bearer) - pledge their support to Novi and the new torch bearers of the Sangha. As one pointed out why dont you start with appointing women as a committee members thereby giving them an opportunity to serve as they too make great leaders. All the best.

    Novi's election is a tribute to exemplary democratic values practiced by the Sharjah Sangha. I know Novi since 1985 when he was the most active die hard volunteer of Karantaka Sangha Dubai. A well known person with contacts all over who has inherent ability to lead by example, he is capable of continuing the good works done by his predecessors. KEEP IT UP NOVI

    Our congratulations to the "Sangha"of Karnataka in Sharjah.It was nice to witness so many young and energetic men in the photograph. Where are the charming and capable women of Karnataka? Why has the "Sangha" isolated them? What can the "Sangha" do without the enterprising women of Karnataka? Even 50 years ago when we established the Karnatak Sports Club and Karnatak Cricket Club as well as the Mangalorean Dramatic Association in Bahrain, and then in Saudi Arabia too women played an important part of our life !!
