First Annual Day Celebrations of Bunts Sangh Higher Education Institutes Held

Mumbai, Jan 31:
‘Jallosh’, the first annual day celebrations of Annaleela College of Commerce and Economics, and Shobha Jayaram Shetty College of Business Management Studies, was held on Thursday January 29, at Radhabai T Bhandary Auditorium of Bunts Sangh, Kurla (East).
 
State labour minister Nawab Malik was the chief guest who inaugurated the stage programme by lighting the lamp.
 

 

Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty was the guest of honour.
 
Bunts Sangh president Aikala Harish Shetty, vice-president chartered accountant B Shankar Shetty, higher education committee president Manmohan Shetty, vice-presidents B Vivek Shetty and Dr Padmanabha V Shetty, secretary B R Shetty, treasurer Praveen B Shetty, and principal Dr K S Cheema were present on the dais.
 
The two institutes, set up by Bunts Sangh, were inaugurated by union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar in 2008 as part of their quest to facilitate higher education.  The decision to set up these institutes was taken during the golden jubilee celebrations of the Bunts Sangh in 2003.
 
Besides these institutes, the Bunts Sangh also manages two night high schools and S M Shetty English Medium High School and Pre-university College at Powai, in the metro.  Eminent industrialist Manmohan Shetty is serving as president of the higher education committee.
