Mumbai, Feb 6: The first ever day-long Maghi Ganapati Utsav was held recently, at Gograswadi Swayamvar Auditorium, located at Patarli Road, Dombivli (East) here. It was organized by GSB Mandal Dombivli.
Vedamurti Mohandas Bhat offered puja to Sri Vinayaka idol that was decorated with flowers by the GSB Youth Wing leader Vishnudas Mallya. Thousands of GSB community brethren attended the Vedic rites and later the idol was immersed in the nearby lake.
The financial assistance awarded to poor families of the community, grinders and tailoring machines were distributed to deserving families by GSB Mandal Dombivli, on this occasion.
GSB Mandal Dombivli president Dr Yogesh Acharya, vice president M R Kamat, secretary Sudhir Kudva, joint secretary V M Nayak, Venkatesh Kamat, Mohandas Bhat, Prof Venkatesh Pai, Maghi Ganapati Utsav convener and GSB Youth Wing president Vishnudas Mallya, Murali Bhat and others were also present.
