Kannada actor Vinodraj, Mother Leelavathi Escape Attempt on Life

Bangalore, Feb 7: Ace Kannada Cinema Actor Vinodraj and his mother, renowned yesteryears actress Leelavathi, escaped unhurt when the car in which they were travelling was shot at the Majestic Area, one of the city's busiest junctions this morning.
The incident took place when the actor and his aged mother were going in a car along with the driver and another person.
The vehicle was hit by a bullet fired by unknown persons who came on a motorcycle.
The bullet which pierced the vehicle's back screen failed to hit the target, police said.
Shocked at the attempt on their life, Vinodraj and his mother lodged a complaint with the Subhashnagar Police Station.
Vinodraj had acted in several films in Kannada and 'Kannadada Kanda,' a modest hit, was the latest film which also featured Leelavathi.
