Balakot air strike was a message, did not intend to kill: Union Minister

Kolkata, Mar 3(PTI): Union Minister SS Ahluwalia has said that the aim of the Indian Air Force strike in Pakistan's Balakot was to send out the message that India is capable of hitting deep inside enemy lines and did not intend to inflict "any human casualty". Mr Ahluwalia said neither Prime Minister Narendra Modi nor any government spokesperson had given any figure on casualty of the IAF air strikes. Rather, it was the media and social media where the unconfirmed figures of terrorist killed were being circulated, he said.

"I have seen reports in Indian media and international media and also what Modi ji had said. After the air strike, there was a rally by Modi ji and he didn't say anything on the casualty figures. I want to ask if Modi ji, or any government spokesperson, or our party president Amit Shah has given any figures?" Mr Ahluwalia told reporters in Siliguri on Saturday.

The minister of state for electronics and information technology said the intention of the strike was to send out a message that India is capable of destruction in Pakistan's own backyard if needed. "We didn't want any human casualty," he said.Mr Ahluwalia reiterated that neither government officials nor any minister has given out a figure of the casualties.

"I was asked whether I stand by the government's statement or by the reports of Indian media which have said 300-350 terrorists were killed. I stand by the government's statement. How can I vouch for media reports?" he said.

Now we hear such reports when BJP govt is cornered and compelled to give proof. Actually Modi should have had a press coference on this historic issue but our fake PM chose to keep the kettle boiling and play politics on our brave soldiers blood. We don't question army nor we drag them into this BJP's dirty politics but only confront BJP govt's claim and question the govt. Even faking has its limits BJP.

Actually Balakot surgical strike was to down the terror camps of JeM which is infested in that area. Laud the bravado of the Indian Air Force to go deep into Pakistan territory & demolish these camps that with a 1 Ton payload to avenge the dastardly killing of our 44 brave hearts. As far as the Govt is concerned, there were no civilian damages. Jai Hind

What about the Foreign Secretary's press conference on the morning of the Air Strikes that the whole leadership of the Jaish has been wiped out. If the Foreign Secretary had allowed questions at this press conference then there would have been clarity about the aim of the Air Strikes. With the press and tv gagged, it is therefore obvious that the Govt has cleared the press and the tv to report false stories of 300 terrorist being killed in the Indian air strike.

What the Union Minister is now stating is the truth unfolded by all the foreign press that there were no causalities at all in the Indian air strike. The Foreign Secretary would have lost all his credibility with his false reporting anf the PM himself known for his over indulgence i Lies and Falsehoods.

What a clumsy manner to reap Political capital over the matyrdom of our Brave Jawans.
