Sirsi: Minister Anant Kumar Hegde allegedly assaults man

Sirsi, Mar 5: As per some reports, union minister Anant Kumar Hegde allegedly assaulted the local manager of a company here on Sunday, March 3. The news has been doing rounds in Uttara Kannada district. But no police complaint has been lodged by anyone till now.

As per details available now, local branch manager of Bajaj Electronics company which has got the contract to provide power connections under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya rural electrification project was called by the minister to his residence on Sunday to discuss the delay caused to provide connections in Bazar Kunang grama panchayat limits of Joida taluk. It is said that the heated arguments went out of hand and the minister assaulted the branch manager of Bajaj Electronics.

The manager was later treated in a hospital.

Police have reportedly called the branch manager to the police station for investigations.

No police case has been registered yet.
