Bagalakote: Indo-Pak war is not necessary - Pejawar Swamiji

Daijiworld Media Network - Bagalakote (SP)

Bagalakote, Mar 5: Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math Udupi asserted that war between India and Pakistan is unnecessary. He said he is strongly against war between the two countries as it will inflict huge devastation and destruction in both the countries.

Speaking to media persons here on Monday March 4, the Swamiji said that both the countries will have to bear with huge losses if war breaks out. He therefore, supported launching of surgical strikes to achieve desired result. "Pakistan does not have the potential and will to undertake this misadventure. Therefore, avoiding war at any cost is the best option. Our entire nation is backing Indian security forces. The union government and our security forces have taken bold and belligerent steps to handle ulterior designs of the enemy. These actions have buoyed our spirits and instilled a sense of renewed confidence," he mentioned.

The Swamiji said that leaders of different political outfits are not right in issuing different statements on the air strikes launched by the Air Force. He felt that irrespective of differences of opinion between leaders and parties, all those should be united as far as the issue of defending the nation is concerned.

He expressed the view that the issue of former chief minister, Siddaramaiah, not visiting Sri Krishna Math at Udupi so far does not deserve to be blown out of proportions.

General election is imminent. Talk about war and surgical strikes should be avoided. Election should be fought on the economic performance and development of the country that happened in the last five years. War bravado and flaunting of nationalism should stop. Citizens of this country are equal and are patriotic. Hence let them vote and choose a good government democratically.

Well, thousands of awardees of "Twitter Vir Chakra" have been at it here, boasting and warmongering. Let the Govt and the Army do their respective jobs. Soldiers and their families pay the price for this, not video-gamers sitting in drawing rooms.

I don’t know which mother got which part head/ heart of which cast/religion, part of my soul went with them. Stop talking revenge/war sitting on easy chairs. Fight terror in any way if you can.

The price is paid by children, widows& parents. Mahabharata teaches us the futility of a victory at the cost of a generation! India can & will!
Swamiji, Your message is short and incomplete. It doesn't warn the irresponsible media who boast about war sitting in the newsroom every day or politician from BJP asking votes using sacrifice of our soldiers for political gain.
The biggest threat to India is not from Pakistan but it is from exploited social media proud to be followed by our own Prime Minister.

Pakistan supports jihadist everywhere and exports them to many other nations to meet its obligations of separation of nations and create own states for it's own beliefs. As a result nations pulled into unnecessary problems like India, Philippines, Burma, Taiwan, China. It is hard to believe but pakis are part of all those places as holy worrorirs. It is not pakis issues but it is making a separate state without any kafirs part of that land. Pakis never understand peace without proper swift tit for tat action like modi has taken. At this stage cleaning the garage on border lines.of these holy worriar is important and put fear into these devils. Nobody want war but the issue is pakis are poking at India similR to Palestine is poking at isreal. Only option without war is shoot the border if any terrorist show up the way isreal handles them.

Nobody wants war as it can have disastrous consequences. However, if terrorists decide to take up violence for their cause, however well meaning society may be, it will invariably end up taking up violence and in the end war as in our case, the country is harboring terrorists.
However, it looks like Imran Khan Government is going one step further than previous Nawaz Sharif Government. Imran Khan is conscious that the situation in his country is dire and war is not in his country's interest. However, I am not sure, he can rewrite the history where military still calls the shots.

    Yes true.
Terrorists from Pak will not allow us to live in peace. Their Govt can't control their Terrorists like Azhar & Hafeez. Imran may be a good man.
We in Mumbai have seen terror attack, they have targeted innocent civilians in Hospital, Hotels and in Railway station! Whereas U.S. killed enemy Osama and spared his home people.
If there was no terror attack from Pak, why would India strike at them? India never attacked other neighbours!

One section of the society joins military, serves on the border, and at times sacrifice their life. No talk, no speeches.

Another section does the talking, and gives speeches. No interest in military service.

Nothing has changed over the last 200 years.
