Top names from glamour world shine at Mangaluru Fashion Week

Mangaluru, Mar 5: The coastal mini metro for the first time got the glimpse of a full bodied fashion show titled MFW (Mangaluru Fashion Week).

Held at Eden Aquatic Club from March 1 to 3, promoters of this show Sonia Rodrigues and Raj Deepak Shetty set a new benchmark not just for Mangaluru based fashion aficionados but all the other tier two cities in the state.

Some of the top names in the fashion world both on the ramp and designing were there on the show rubbing shoulders with the patrons of fashion.



With some of the best names from the glamour world, participants at this event included C Krishniah Chetty Group of Jewellers, fashion industry professionals like Faheem and Anand Maheswaran. The models who walked the ramp included celebrities and supermodels like Sandhya Shetty, Kavya Shetty, Anjum Fakih, Jackie Besterwitch, Krishna Chaitanya, Pooja Shetty, Niriksha Puttur, Saniya Haseeb, Sheha Vasisht and Deepika Tiwari all of them sporting the great looking outfits from big and contemporary designers.

The show opened showcasing the collection of Salim Asgarally, followed by Themes Boutique by Mouzmi and Reshma, Designer Mantra, Shabana's Offlimits, Shazmi Maddas, Aash Aziz, Santhosh Kumar, Rinu Alunkal for Tvishi, Shree Devi College of Fashion Design.

Mangaluru Fashion Week aimed to bring more than just the runway. The fund raised through the fashion show will go towards cancer affected children and women at Father Muller's hospital.

The grand finale showcased collections of Shabana's Offlimits for which Sonia Rodrigues, the organiser of the show walked the ramp as showstopper.
