Daijiworld Media Network – Bidar (SB)

Bidar, Mar 5: A sum of Rs 20 lac which was collected at the fundraiser ‘Pinnacle 2019’ held at Kuwait in February was handed to the administration of Maria Ashram Bala Sadana Orphanage in Bidar on March 1.

Fr Robert Crasta, director of Maria Ashram Bala Sadana received Lucy Lobo Aranha accompanied by Robin Aranha who came from Kuwait with the donation and blankets for the inmates.

Thanking Team Pinnacle Fr Robert said, "I never expected that a team will come from abroad and donate such a huge amount for our orphanage. God only sent them here in the form of good Samaritans. It shows the kind heart of our brothers and sisters who are working abroad. As a noble gesture Team Pinnacle decided to donate their hard earned money for charity. My sincere thanks to all team members and I assure my prayers to Team Pinnacle, all the artists and the generous supporters."

On behalf of Team Pinnacle, team leader Lucy Lobo Aranha expressed gratitude to all the generous sponsors, donors, contributors, well-wishers and the audience, who wholeheartedly supported and encouraged the noble cause.

Team Pinnacle consists of talented artists. Under the leadership of Lucy Lobo Aranha, the team had organised ‘Pinnacle 2019’ at American International School Maidan Hawalli on February 1.

Along with music and dance the event had a hilarious Konkani comedy drama ‘Phalyan Poleyan’, written by Konkani Comedy Prince Pradeep Barboza, Paladka and directed by Lucy Lobo Aranha, Gurpur. The artists from Kuwait and Pradeep himself from Dubai took part in this drama.

The event was organised with an aim to gather funds and support the education of the children at Maria Ashram Bala Sadana Orphanage.

Feel nice and happy to receive comments from all over the world appreciating the work we did. Yes I had taken the leadership but behind me Kuwait's whole community was there to support. My small team worked very hard to reach out every single person possible and at the end it was our fortune to have everyone with us. We were blessed to find Maria Bala Sadana Ashram who is really in need of funds. I personally visited this place. Also our generous sponsors and well-wishers donated the funds without hesitation. Thanks to Pradeep Barboza Paladka for giving us such a good script “Phalyan Poleyan”.
Kuwait's audience enjoyed the drama fully and stuck to their seats till the end. God bless Pradeep. I hope and pray that he writes more and more good scripts to give entertainment to the people. Pradeep has given many scripts to Kuwait's directors without any expectation and thru his dramas more than crore rupees reached out to the needy organizations in and around Mangalore. God bless him.
Finally thanks to everyone who have supported to organize "Pinnacle 2019". God bless all our generous sponsors, donors, contributors, well-wishers and the audience, who wholeheartedly supported and encouraged the noble cause. During my personal visit to this orphanage to handover the amount collected, the children at this orphanage assured their prayers to everyone. Prayers can do miracles.

Love and compassion towards the needy is the reason for the success of Pinnacle 2019. Sponsors play an important role as without their help, an amount of Rs. 20 lacs wouldn’t have been possible.

A nun at a Mother Theresa Ashram told me, to carry on the work of Mother Theresa, one need not be an active volunteer at the Ashram taking care of patients. She said there are many other ways. Giving donation is also one of the ways, she said. Congratulations and good wishes to Team Pinnacle.
