Chikkamagaluru: 200 acres of Kudremukh sanctuary consumed by forest fire

Daijiworld Media Network - Chikkamagaluru (SP)

Chikkamagaluru, Mar 6: Even before the state could recover from the loss of huge tracts of lush green forest areas located within the limits of Bandipur sanctuary, comes the shocking news that forest fire has consumed over 200 acres of forest in Kudremukh sanctuary.

Fire was first sighted at Bhagawathi Hill on Monday. It has since been extinguished. However, destruction of over 200 acres of forest could not be averted.

As there is suspicion that this could be the handiwork of miscreants, investigation is being conducted into the incident.

Mr. DSouza; I do not agree with your statement. The village people are not rogues to set fire to forests. They may not be educated like us City dwellers but they have a human heart. The police have to investigate the larger conspiracy behind these type of activities. JAI HIND.

Yes exactly... I agree with your comment.. Villagers are staying with the nature.. If they come to know, by mistake fire catches, villagers gather and try to extinguish the flames.. They will never allow to spread the fire..

You believe what Pakistan media is saying "only 350 trees of sumbal destroyed in Indian Airforce airstrike"
If going by you & Pak media then Sumbal trees also use active mobiles, next time when airforce initiates an attack on terror camps, they need to tie some people into their jets ....
