Mangaluru, Mar 6: In connection with the gang rape of a woman at Thota Bengre near Tannirbhavi during November last, personnel of the women's police station here have filed chargesheet against seven accused. The chargesheet was filed in the second additional district and sessions court here.
Out of the seven, three happen to be minors. A case about a lady on a visit to Thota Bengre along with her male friend having been raped by a gang had been registered. The police personnel of the women's station here, after investigating the incident, filed chargesheet in the case recently.
The charges leveled against the accused include gang rape, attacking and injuring the victim, outraging the modesty of a woman, trespass and some other sections of Indian Penal Code.
