Canada: CWF to present ‘Kevin Misquith Live Concert’ on May 25

Canada, Mar 6: Canara World Foundation (CWF) is proud to announce its musical extravaganza Canara Kala Saanz 20019, with star attraction Kevin Misquith. The live concert will be held at The Meadowvale Theatre, 6315 Montevideo Rd, Mississauga, ON L5N 4G7 on May 25, from 2 pm onwards.

CWF has been leading the way in harnessing and portraying the talents of ethnic origin community members living in Canada. Since its first ever historical ‘Wilfy Nite’ in 2005, CWF, has continually championed numerous live musical nites, dramas, talent shows, business meets, fund raising activities and screening of Mangalurean Konkani movies.

Although CWF took a respite for a year, they were relentlessly working behind the scenes to bring forth bigger and better quality programmes to cater to the larger audience and millennials of the community. Due to these efforts, they are able to present the young, dynamic and talented Kevin Misquith and his three member troupe to perform at its forthcoming Kala Saanz.

Kevin Misquith is rightly called as the pioneer of new age Konkani music. He has redefined Konkani music over the past one decade since his very first show in Mangaluru.With his innovative concepts, creative presentations and robust on stage performances, he has been successful in not only attracting the younger generation of today, towards Konkani music, but also taking along contemporary music lovers.

Kevin has presented 48 independent concerts of his own not only in India but also in countries such as United Kingdom, Ireland, UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia etc. It must be noted that he was the first ever to present a Konkani concert in countries like Ireland and Saudi Arabia. Performing at this year’s ‘Canara Kala Saanz’, will be his first ever performance in North America. The repeated demand for his concerts is a testimony of the quality of his musical performances. Apart from independent concerts, he has performed for several other musical and cultural festivals in India and abroad. He also has six musical albums to his credit and currently working on his next album to be released soon.

CWF is the only organisation in North America that has brought stardom singers from Mangaluru like the late legendary singer Wilfy Rebimbus, Meena Rebimbus, Henry D’Souza, Prem Lobo, Claud D’Souza, Melwyn Peris, Vishwas, Charleen Rebimbus, Veena and Arvin Pais, Sandria Rodrigues and music director Joswin Pinto. By bringing Kevin Misquith, to perform on the Canadian soil, they will be adding another feather on their cap.

This year’s Kala Saanz promises to be extremely entertaining, thrilling and satiating to every age groups. It will comprise of a blend of many new compositions of Kevin Misquith’s along with some super hit songs of yesteryears, comedy skits and dancesbyour local talents.
