Mangalore: Gopal Hosur New IGP of Western Range

Mangalore, Feb 13: Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Gopal Hosur has been appointed Inspector General of Police, Western Range, Mangalore.

The move assumes significance in the wake of recent disturbances in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi.

He replaces Ashit Mohan Prasad, who has been appointed director, Police Academy, Mysore.
