Bengaluru, Mar 8: Karnataka assembly Speaker, Ramesh Kumar, has issued notice to Umesh Jadhav, who has resigned his membership of the assembly and joined BJP. Sources in the Speaker’s office clarified that through the notice, the office has sought clarification over certain doubts relating to acceptance of the resignation.
Notices have also been issued to MLAs, Ramesh Jarkiholi, Mahesh Kumthalli, and Nagendra for personal appearance before the Speaker on March 12 for violating the party whip.

Non-bailable warrant
In the meanwhile, the special court for people's representatives here issued non-bailable warrant for the arrest of Dr Shivaraj Patil, BJP MLA representing Raichur constituency. Patil has been facing a case relating to furnishing of false information to the election commission when filing his nomination papers relating to his property details. The warrant was issued on Thursday.
The court decided to issue non-bailable warrant as the MLA has been repeatedly absenting from court hearings since long. The case has now been fixed for hearing on March 16.
