Raichur, Mar 11: In a tragic accident that occurred on the evening of March 10, a Catholic priest lost his life.
Fr A Paul (34), parish priest of St Francis Assisi Church of Jewalgere in the district, is the unfortunate person who died in this tragedy.
Fr Paul was born on April 26, 1984 and ordained as priest on May 28, 2012.
Fr Paul was a well-known preacher who was down to earth and merciful. His death comes as a shock and has left a great void for the parishioners of St Francis of Assisi church as well as the diocese of Ballari.
An English medium school was founded by Fr Paul for the benefit of the poor and village children of the area. He was looking after the renovation work of the church for the past one year, which is almost complete. But unfortunately, Fr Paul did not live to see the renovated church.
