Dubai, Feb 22: The annual get-together of UAE Bunts Association was held at Jabeel Gardens, here on Friday February 20. Bunts community brethrens in large numbers, from all over the UAE attended the annual event.
Karnataka Rajyotsav award recipient Sarvottam Shetty extended the cordial welcome to all the community brethren, at the occasion.
Various teams were formed in order to give a competitive spirit for various sports, games, fun and laughter.
Praveen, Anita, Jayaram Rai, Prasanna, Sampat, Sundar and Satish, led the teams, to test their talents, inborn qualities, skills and prowess.
Sudakar Alva, Prabhakar Shetty, Prashant Rai, Amar Hegde, Bhavani Shankar Hegde, Harish, Sadanand and Vinadhar were the jurors assisted in various competitions.
Danat, Samart and Shiva bagged the prizes in traditional women dance wearing sari. It brought the fond memories of native Tulunadu culture in the oasis country of Emirates.
Praveen team and Sundar team bagged the first and second prizes while Jayaram Rai team bagged the third prize in tug-of-war competitions.
Sundar team and Praveen team bagged the Ideal Couple competitions. Satish team and Jayaram team bagged the first and second in children's play passing ball competitions while Praveen team bagged the third prize.
Sushmita Shetty bagged the full house, top-line in housie-housie competitions, while Kavya Prabhakar Shetty bagged quick 5, Sunita Divakar Shetty bagged middle-line, Jayaram Shetty bagged bottom line. Sushmita Shetty was adjudged Lucky Lady.
Praveen team (blue-white) and Satish team (green-white) bagged the first and second places, in a friendly sports competitions while Jayaram Rai (violet) secured the third place.
All the participants thoroughly enjoyed their annual get-together that energized their sports spirit and community bonding in the oil rich island nation of UAE. The members especially arrived from their work places in the interiors of UAE and other emirates, in order to be part of a rare get together of community. It also strengthened their bonds and contacts to pep up their native roots.
