Bengaluru: Denial of tickets to two BJP heavyweights in state likely

Bengaluru, Mar 20: Two current influential BJP MPs in the state are likely to be deprived of tickets. Though the possibilities are certain, the final decision of issuing tickets rests with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

It is said that state BJP leaders have expressed their dissatisfaction about the work ethics of these two MPs.

The future of Uttar Kannada MP, union minister Ananth Kumar Hegde and Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje is in the hands of Modi, said some sources.

It is claimed that Yeddyurappa, Eshwarappa, Jagadish Shettar, Prahlad Joshi, C T Ravi, Santhosh and Ramlal disclosed the information on the current situation in the state in the core committee meeting held with BJP president Amit Shah.

    It does not matter boss. Who ever contest from BJP is likely to win, unless Cong has some trick up its sleeve. All the existing old Congi candidates are controversial and also losers . They are not acceptable to gen public. Lets be very fair. Mithun Rai stands out in this case, as he is not tested. Wonder if the Congi will give him a chance. But even if he gets, its too big and a risky chance for him. Its better to field a candidate like J.R.Lobo from a JDS ticket like they did in Udupi. Mr.Lobo has no controversies and had a record of good work behind him. He is the best among the oldies.

    If these 2 are denied tickets , then its a feather in BJPs cap. Brownie points for Modi for selecting on basis of performance and terminating the non performers. This card will be played in each and every rally in Ktaka. Jibes would be taken at Congress that it fields the same candidate even after 30 defeats.

    I can't say about Shoba, but Hedge will get the ticket. In fact Modi likes the controversial people, people who divide the people on the basis of religion, and grab the votes. This is the only MERIT they have, hence according to them Hegde is the best performer.( he has performed well in spitting venom)
