Udupi: Moulana Ayub Kasimi of Jamia Masjid Passes Away

Udupi, Feb 25: Fifty-eight-year-old Moulana Ayub Kasimi, serving at Jamia Masjid here for the past 11 years passed away on Tuesday February 24. He had taken ill about a week ago and was admitted to KMC Hospital at Manipal.

Kasimi was an Islamic scholar hailing from Uttar Pradesh, serving in the mosque here.  He was well known in the locality and would teach the pupils at the ‘Madrasa’ here.  He was also involved in the social upliftment of the community and lived at the Masjid complex. Kasimi is survived by his wife, four sons and four daughters. 

The local community has condoled the early demise of Moulana Ayub Kasimi.
