Mangalore: Muttapa Rai-promoted Jayakarnataka to Fight for Rights of Kannadigas

Mangalore, Feb 28: A membership campaign and selection of office-bearers of Muttappa Rai-promoted Jaya Karnataka organization was held here at Kadri Gorakshanatha Hall on Saturday, February, 28.
"Jaya Karnataka will fight for the welfare of Kannada and it will follow its own style of struggle for the conservation of Kannada language and culture. It will fight against the injustices being inflicted on Kannada and will also take up other issues relating to the language," said Ramesh Gowda, state president of Jaya Karnataka.
He said Jayakarnataka Sene was formed by Muttappa Rai to fight for Kannada and also to fight for the early settlement of several long-pending issues relating to Kannada that have not yet been sorted out and to do away with the problems faced by Kannadigas in securing jobs. The organization will also work for the early settlement of boundary disputes with other states, he explained.
Jayakarnataka will be in the forefront in all issues pertaining to the welfare of Kannada and Kannadigas, he declared.
Selection of office-bearers was also held at the programme.
