Mangalore, Mar 5:
Arun Coelho took charge as the president of Dakshina Kannada District Youth Congress Committee at the party office here on Thursday March 5.

Addressing the members of Youth Congress, he said that he would organize various programmes to bring in more young and new faces to the party. Party needed honest work from its members to lead the country.

"The aim of the Youth Congress is to ensure that Congress triumphs in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections," he said.

Speaking after handing over the charge, outgoing president Bondala Jagannatha Shetty said that the party should consider local-level cadres for leadership. More opportunities should be made available to the youth in the party.

Bondala served as the president of Youth Congress for eight consecutive years.

Congress leaders Kallige Tharanath Shetty, Kodijal Ibrahim, Namitha, Mahabala Marla, Purandaradas Kulur and A C Bhandary were also present on the occasion.

Mr. Rajesh all the fingers of our hand aren't the same. There is a proverb which goes like this,"People living in glass houses should not throw stones at others." This means that you shouldn't criticise others for the faults that you possess. It is much easier to see others failings than our own. Kindly do not compare the political leaders.

Dear Rajesh Mangalore Dubai, freshen up your memory. 1. Jaswanth Singh (BJP Member) the finance minister prior to Narasimha Rao’s government ran out of ideas and pledged 25 tons of Indian reserve gold and brought India to its knees. - When congress government came to power Dr. Manmohan Singh completely changed the financial image of our country. All opposition parties criticized his move, but later when NDA came to power they too followed the same. What you have to say about this. 2. Sonia Gandhi being a foreigner by birth sacrificed her position to a highly educated man. – Would Adwani sacrifice his position being a Pakistani by birth? 3. If you have watched the last parliament session Mr. Pranab Mukarjee given all the facts and figures and compared it with NDA figures when it was in power, which turned all BJP members red faced. 4. Lalu Prasad Yadav (UPA) shown the way how to make profit in railways, which is new in the history of Indian railways. 5. When gentleman like former President A P J Abdul Kalam openly said that the nuclear deal is in favour of the country, BJP opposed it. BJP’s idea was that that deal to be finalised when they come to power.

Is it not selfish attitude? 6. BJP failed to negotiate with the IC hijackers and handed over hardcore criminals who are responsible 26/11. The day of attack BJP acted like saints that they are with the government, but every one realised BJP’s true colour once all the terrorists are eliminated. 7. Mr. Adwani was hibernating when women were molested and attacked by Rama Sene.

All of a sudden woke up from his sleep after a month to say that attack on women is wrong. I can give you more than 100 examples which will show UPA governance is much above NDA governance.

Rajesh Mangalore Dubai you are 100% right.  I agree with your 14 points you had commented. Specially about Azuruddin. He knew that if he joins polictics he can easily  become a millionaire .There was  no way for him to join  the Indian National cricket team from which he was sacked for match fixing. I congrate you Arun Coelho for your new assignment and position of youth congress president. You are young and energetic so you must wake up and right now enter the field and start the work of canvasing  by arranging rallies and the meets in every corner of Mangalore.  Our congress politicans are thinking their congress party is very old party so every body will vote for them.

Didn't Congress learn any lessons from the past? Why are we giving an impression that the party is only for minorities? That's how we lost the last election by fielding Ivan D'Souza. As long we continue to take these wrong steps, parties like BJP will continue to dominate. Very sad.
