Udupi: Devotees Throng Yellur Vishwanath Temple Ahead of ‘Brahma Kalashabhisheka’

Udupi, Mar 5: The Sri Vishwanath Temple, Yellur, near here, which was renovated with marble flooring, saw a special worship on Wednesday March 4. Various religious rites were also initiated ahead of the ‘Brahma Kalashabhisheka’.
The rituals were performed under the leadership of Vedamurti Bettige Gururaj Tantri and Vedamurti Padoor Laxminarayan Tantri on Wednesday morning, after the ‘puja’ and honouring of sculptors. Various religious rites were also held on the occasion.
Offerings contributed by devotees from the neighbouring villages including Belapu, Kunjoor, Mudarangady, Maniyoor, Saninje, Kalattoor, Padoor, Kutyaru, Adve-Nandikoor, Adamar, and Kemmundelu began arriving on Thursday March 5.
Special pujas were also offered to Sri Ganapati, and Sri Annapurneshwari Devi. All devotees were also provided free food till 3.00 pm on Thursday.
Karnataka Kannada Sahitya Parishat former president presided over ‘Bhakta Sampada’, a religious meet, held at 4.00 pm on Thursday.
Religious endowment commissioner Rama Nayak, MLA K Abhayachandra Jain, and MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik were present on the occasion.
Kuntaru Ravisha Tantri delivered a special religious lecture on the occasion.
