Pune, Mar 6: The 31st branch of Bharath Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited, at Pancharatna Heights Building, Chaitanya Nagar, Dhanyavady, on the Pune-Satara road here was inaugurated on Thursday March 5.
Bank chief executive officer Vasudev R Kotian inaugurated the branch by lighting the lamp.
Bank deputy chairman and lawyer Rohini J Salian launched the banking facilities at the new branch.
Vidwan Sadashiv Shanti performed ‘puja’ and various Vedic rites on the occasion.
Kotian, speaking on the occasion said that Bharat Co-operative Bank is one among the co-operative banks in the country that has provided maximum security to the hard-earned savings of wage-earners.
Meanwhile, the Bank has advanced loans to its customers to realize their dreams of succeeding in business ventures. It has also improved the status of its customers through housing loans.
Vidwan Shanti conveyed best wishes for the continued success of the institution. He also stressed the customer’s confidence behind its success. He added that the bank had the potential to become a nationalized bank and said it should add more branches all over the country.
