International Women’s Day Celebrated at St Jude Parish, Jerimeri

Mumbai, Mar 10:
The nuns of St Jude church, Jerimeri, Andheri (East) and the women members of local Mahila Mandal celebrated the International Women’s Day on Sunday March 8 evening.
 
The celebrations were organized in association with St Jude parish priest Fr Theo Fernandes, by nuns and members of local Mahila Mandal here.
 


Earlier, Fr Lancy Pinto offered the Holy Mass and special prayers for the welfare of women fraternity. 
 
Fort St John’s parishioners Catherine Valerian Rebello couple, Marine Lines Our Lady of Dolorous parishioners Irene Augustine Lewis couple and Dabol St Francis Xavier parishioners Jonas Virginia Dias couple offered vital information on women empowerment.
 
Sr Annie welcomed the gathering.  Flora D’Souza proposed vote of thanks.  Mamata and Lima compered the programme. 
 
Konkan Tara Flora D’Souza, Mary Rebello, Mocha Mary, Julie Mascarenhas, Gracy and Sarika welcomed the dignitaries with floral bouquets.
 
Fiola D’Souza staged the welcome dance while Valencia staged variety dance as part of entertain programme.  Variety cultural programmes were also staged by women members of local Mahila Mandal.
