Mangalore, Mar 10: Femina Miss India Universe-2008 Simran Kaur Mundi announced on Tuesday March 10 that she would like to join animal rights organization, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animal (PETA).
 
Addressing press persons at Hotel Gold Finch here after inaugurating a private airhostesses training institute in city, she said that animals also have emotions like human being but they cannot express them just like the latter. ‘Talks are on with PETA regarding my joining with them. I also would like to associate with Menaka Gandhi’s People for the Animal organization," she claimed.

In reply to a question Kaur said that she has not received any offer from Bollywood so far. But the Miss India Universe admitted that she is interested to come on the screen. Terming her achievements as journey from ‘Tomboy to Miss Universe’, she opined that answering to the questions bombarded by press persons is much tougher than answering questions at the beauty contest.

Kaur said that people in Punjab received her back with great joy after becoming Femina Miss India Universe-2008. She also asked people to love animals to maintain biological balance in the society.

    dear one as v r human being v have voice to say tat v r hungry, im hurted like im getting pain, but animals cant say....is tat tey know hospital to go if tey r hurted....so just love animals and also humans... protect them v can do evertthing.... feel to their feelings also...hope u understand.

    Love animals no problem, but first love human beings, there are so many people on the road dying without food, being sick, uncared and unloved. Can someone think of them instead of the animals?

    People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, what is their aim? Nobody knows. They stand in a animal pose, sometimes naked. According to PETA we must live like an monkey, eat vegetable, fruits, seeds, etc. but no meat & Fish. They need only popularity. Good luck Simran.

    If she had asked people to love people, no body would bother, now that she has asked people to love animal it might have some effect. I guess cows & sheep will be out of this purview
