Mangalore: Femina Miss India Universe Simran Kaur to Join PETA

Mangalore, Mar 10: Femina Miss India Universe-2008 Simran Kaur Mundi announced on Tuesday March 10 that she would like to join animal rights organization, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animal (PETA).
Addressing press persons at Hotel Gold Finch here after inaugurating a private airhostesses training institute in city, she said that animals also have emotions like human being but they cannot express them just like the latter. ‘Talks are on with PETA regarding my joining with them. I also would like to associate with Menaka Gandhi’s People for the Animal organization," she claimed.
In reply to a question Kaur said that she has not received any offer from Bollywood so far. But the Miss India Universe admitted that she is interested to come on the screen. Terming her achievements as journey from ‘Tomboy to Miss Universe’, she opined that answering to the questions bombarded by press persons is much tougher than answering questions at the beauty contest.
Kaur said that people in Punjab received her back with great joy after becoming Femina Miss India Universe-2008. She also asked people to love animals to maintain biological balance in the society.
