Udupi: Sri Ramachandra Aras to be Successor of Sri Raghumanyateerta Swami

Udupi, Mar 11: Twenty-five-year-old Vedic scholar Sri Ramachandra Aras who went through eight years of rigorous study of the ancient Holy Scriptures at Puttige Vidya Peeta, near Hiriadka, and underwent training in ‘Nyaya Suda Granth’ with Sri Sugunendrateerta Swami of Puttige Math, will be sworn in as successor of Sri Raghumanyateerta Swami of Sri Bheema Setumunivranda Math, Bheemanakatte, Dhoorvasapur, Teertahalli taluk, Shimoga district, in a ceremony scheduled to be held at Sri Krishna Math at 10.40 am on Friday March 13.
Sri Ramachandra Aras is the second son of Venkatesh and Ahalya Aras, residents of Beejadi, Kundapur, near here. He will be the 43rd incumbent in the Guru Parampara hierarchy.
The historical swearing-in ceremony will be attended by Vedic scholars and other dignitaries on Friday morning.
