Udupi: Congress expels AICC member Amrith Shenoy for six years citing anti party activities

Udupi, Apr 6: Congress on Saturday, April 6 expelled All India Congress Committee (AICC) member Amrith Shenoy for a period of six years for anti party activities.

Shenoy had filed his nomination for Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency as an independent candidate on Tuesday, March 26. Pramod Madhwaraj is the candidate of the Congress-JD(S) alliance in Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency.

Shenoy, an aspirant for the Congress ticket in the constituency was unhappy that the seat was offered to JD(S) despite the Congress having a better chance at winning here. Pramod Madhwaraj had tried to pacify him, but even though he expressed happiness over Madhwaraj's candidature, Amrith Shenoy did not relent.

    It is a political game. Good attempt but 100% failure. He thought , He may get offer for 50 Lakh Indian Rupees to withdraw his nomination but filed. nobody cares about his nominations.

    Amrith Shenoy has himself got expelled from the party, the day he filed nomination for independent candidate, now there is no meaning of showing him out door .....
    Congress party had suspended their DK candidate, Mithun Rai about 5 months back for anti party activities .... Later suspension revoked and within 4 months, he was their Loksabha candidate ....

    CONgress expulsion is a good omen …. before promotion....they always expel...

    Mithun Rai was expelled before a month he was declared as CONgress candidate for Mangalore Parliamentary Constituency....

    Even after "neech admi" statement from Mani Shankar Iyer, Congress party had expelled him .... Rahul Gandhi was applauded for his stern decision and zero tolerance towards loose talks ....
    Within a month he was inducted back from back door silently ....
