Mangaluru: Mescom ATP machine broken, Rs 1.93 lac stolen

Mangaluru, Apr 9: Thieves, who entered Kotekar office of Mangalore Electricity Supply Company Ltd (Mescom), broke open the lock of Anytime Payment Machine (ATP) and took away Rs 1.93 lac found inside. The theft occurred anywhere between 5 pm on Saturday and 8.45 am on Sunday.

Besides taking away money, the thieves who went in by breaking the lock of the shutters of the office also pulled out drawers of steel almirahs and drawers of tables perhaps to check for more cash. The files and other papers were found to have been thrown around.
