Mangaluru: Entrepreneurship motivation programme held by SIT

Mangaluru, Apr 9: Entrepreneurship development club (EDC) of Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT), organised an entrepreneurship motivation programme on ‘Bee keeping as a business’ for Engineering, MBA and MCA students on Sunday, April 8.

Shyam Bhat, Agriculturist, Beltangady, the chief guest of the function shared his experience with students as a successful entrepreneur. As many as 160 students participated in the programme.

The talk provided general overview of the bees, the different types and what makes them such efficient pollinators. The talk then focuses more on the honey bee, how they live, the castes within the hive and environmental benefits of bee and harvesting honey for personal use and for business.



The programme was initiated and supported by Dr Srinivasa Mayya D, principal. The event was co-ordinated by Dr Radhakrishnan, EDC coordinator, department of MBA, Sudarshan K, secretary, department of CSE and Sowmya, joint secretary, department of ISE.
