Mangalore: Security Tightened in District as Precautionary Measure

Security in the city and other sensitive areas of Dakshina Kannada district have been tightened in the wake of the recent untoward incidents reported from Puttur and surrounding areas.

Additional police forces from Karwar and other districts have been deployed here.
 
Armed police, personnel of KSRP, and anti-naxal forces have been deployed in Surathkal, Krishnapura, Katipalla, Mulki, Puttur, Bantwal, Thumbe, Farangipet, Kalladka, Vittal, Ullal, Thokkottu, Deralakatte, and Kuttar area.

Police sources said that the prohibitory orders under section 144 have been extended till 8 pm Sunday March 22.
 
Speaking to a newspaper, deputy inspector general of police Gopal Hosur said that they have not received any information of subversive incidents from the intelligence bureau. He added that security was tightened as a precautionary measure in the backdrop of Puttur incidents.

    Any type of security , precautionary steps , security measures , deployment of police force & military will be no matter to Rama sene soldiers. They will carry out their duties in due course with great perfection and accuracy!!!!
