Mangalore: Panambur Beach Tragedy: Body of Missing Oliver D'Sa Recovered

Mangalore, Mar 23: The tragedy which cast a gloom on a group of relatives with the drowning of Devin Walder (25) at Panambur Beach here on Sunday evening was further confounded with the recovery of the body of Oliver D'Sa (21) who had gone missing during the incident. His body was recovered late night on Sunday. The life guards Sharat, Jeevan and Sunil had tried to rescue them, but had failed to save Devin. Viay Fernandes was admitted to A J Hospital in critical condition.

Devin had lost his father a few years ago. His mother Florine is a retired employee of Capitanio group of educational institutions and earns a living by making pickles. Oliver used to help her with this work, it is learnt.
Sunil, a member of the team of life guards, was injured in the incident. A little earlier to this tragedy, the life guards had saved Adarsh (20), a Bangalorean from the same spot, it is gathered.

Mangalore, Mar 22: Davin Walder, son of Stany and Florine Walder of Anjelore parish, who wanted to celebrate his 25th birthday in Mangalore on March 23rd and had postponed his visit to Nigeria, where he worked in an off-shore oil field, drowned in the sea near Panambur beach, Mangalore on the evening of Sunday, March 22.
The condition of his companion Vijay Fernandes (29) is said to be very critical and another Oliver D'Sa (21) from Adyar, son of James and Rosy D'sa of Neermarga parish, is said to be missing. Both Davin and Vijay are from Angelore, near Capitanio in Mangalore.
It is reported that seven of them, all relatives, had gone to the beach at around 5 pm on Sunday. They included Adrian DSouza, Naveen James DSouza, Brian Walder, elder brother of Davin Walder and Joel Pinto along with the three others who were not so fortunate.
Vijay was rushed A J Hospital, Mangalore. It is also learnt that the search for Oliver is on.
