Mangalore: 'Jantar Mantar' Carries Audiences to Dream World

Mangalore, Mar 23:  The sleight of experienced hands of magicians conjured up an imaginary world at Kadri Park here on the evening of Sunday March 22. On the occasion of the decennial celebrations of 'Vismaya Troupe' of magician Kudroli Ganesh, the magicians belonging to Kudroli Ganesh’s team, youngest magician, six-year-old Srivatsa Hejmady and others mesmerized the people who watched their shows in total  awe, as the team performed tricks that had so far been thought impossible.

The event, aptly named 'Jantar Mantar' by the Vismaya Team, had organized the show at the open air theatre located in Kadri Park. Skillfully presented items included those from Srivatsa Hejmady, claimed to be the youngest magician in the world, 'Indian Houdini' fame Prahlad Acharya Udupi, M P Hashim from Kerala who is famous for his 'manipulation magic', 'fire escape' by Kudroli Ganesh and various other items held the people who had gathered for the show organized between 6.30 and 9.30 pm on Sunday, spellbound.

The magicians, aptly dressed for the event in costumes that seemed to belong to the bygone era, stood up to the expectations of the people and earned thunderous applause for each of their performances.
