Mangalore, Mar 30:
The District Crime Intelligence Bureau (DCIB) and the police personnel attached to Ullal station have arrested three persons for their alleged underworld links on the night of Sunday March 29.

Ibrahim (27), resident of Kalya in Kaup, Mohammad Hasim (28) resident of Nillikunnu and Sayaf (25) from Chattanjal in Kasaragod, were arrested for allegedly having links with the underworld criminals.

The police sources said that Ibrahim, who was the first to be arrested, provided information about the other two. The police claim to have foiled the plan of the gang to disrupt the ensuing election. It is also said that the dons had supplied them with huge amount of money and weapons for executing wicked plans.

The sources said, the three arrested accused are involved with several nefarious activities. Details would come out only after thorough investigations, they feel. But the policemen did not divulge their plan of action to unearth the truth.

The three were produced in the court on Monday, March 30. The court has remanded them to 15 days judicial custody till April 13.

I totally agree with ur comments Mr. C. Shetty. Just look at the disgusting comments by some people. They dont see if it is criminal or not, they just go by the religion. If the criminal are from their religion then they blame the govt and police. If it is from other religion then it is fine. These people are pseudosecularists. I dont know when they will stop their double standards. Congrats to our police for this good job. May god bless u.

Dear Mr. C Shetty. I do not have any soft corner for any criminals. The point is here is our police dept. team is professional? Many times the harrassment& torture by the police is greater than others as they have law and power in their hands. Unless oneself experience how brutal is their attitude and implemneting law one will not understand. Even my enemy also shouldnot get this experience. Any inhuman act of investigation should be stopped.

Dear C. Shetty, Bulsam's comments reflecting the distrust and failure of police department because some of their officers are acting like agents of sangh parivar or they directly recruited by them. Keep in mind that, a anti minority and upper class government ruling in Karnataka.

Dear Bulsam, why are you so soft on these guys ? Such creatures be it be anybody should be beheaded in public like what few middle east countries follow. As of now our youths do not fear the law, they know somebody will come for their rescue, or even if they are sent to jail, they will be happy as they do not have anything else to do. While commenting I have kept religion aside. Culprits should be punished. There is nothing called brutal punishment or soft punishment.

Before the police take all their frustration on these anti-social elements, the human rights organisation should involve so that these accused youngsters are not brutally & mercilessly tortured by the police & the inmates of the jail. Definately, they should be severely punished under the law, if they are found guilty.

It’s an interesting issue to see the plan of action. If Indian govt can reject business activity requests such as IPL to run the high priority election, what plan of action would the govt insist against those who threaten elections and the motherland itself. It is easy to get away by making it a religion- issue perhaps? But the facts that there are so many like guys in and around the city for sure. Election is important for all indian citizen, fundamentally if there is no election no govt which means no India.
