Panaji, Apr 5: South Goa administration has banned controversial outfit 'Sri Ram Sene' in the district.

The North Goa district had banned the entry of SRS activist in the district earlier this week implying that the entry is banned only for half of Goa.

"We have issued notification on Friday. It is banned in South Goa too," South district collector Mihir Vardhan said.

Goa Home Minister Ravi Naik had recommended the ban on the controversial outfit after its chief Pramod Muttalik warned to storm into state's pub.

Muttalik, who gained notoriety for attacking Mangalore pub, had accused Goa of spreading pub culture across the country.

Even a fortnight after Naik's announcement to ban the outfit, South district had not acted. Importantly, South district dots Karnataka state border, where Muttalik is operational.

"We have acted after we received report from the police," Vardhan said.
