Mangalore, Apr 6:
Congress Lok Sabha candidate B Janardhan Poojary has come down heavily on the Bharatiya Janata Party for unleashing vilification campaign against him.

Taking strong objection to the BJP’s allegation that he was electioneering in temple after performing puja Poojary said that the ruling party is doing false allegations out of frustration. There is no truth in their accusation.

Addressing media persons at the Congress election office here on Monday April 6, he alleged, "We know that refreshments were arranged by the BJP in the name of Chandika Homa, but we will never file complaint to the Election Commission. They have been violating the election norms in each step."

He pointed out that Congress pays great respect to the election norms. BJP is trying to provoke him. They are second to none in deprivation. He also condemned MLA Renukacharya’s statement which reads that he would like to give call to cut off the heads of anti-Hindutva people.

Praising the UPA government, Poojary said the inflation was at 6 per cent during the NDA regime, but it has come down to even less than one per cent at present because of economist Manmohan Singh.

District president Ramanath Rai, Ivan D’Souza were present at the press meet.

I think there were many prominent leaders like Suresh Ballal, Ex Mayor Shashidar Hegde present. Why isnt their names mentioned in the list of presentees rather than mentioning names of "leaders" who have lost the recent MLA elections?
